It's all falling into place....

Someone is obviously getting their act together....Finally!!

I am saying this because I have just recieved a call from the nurse agency who have employed me, that I can go into the office on Monday to collect my ID badge and be able to start work the following day. I have arrived in the UK more than 2 weeks ago now, and yesterday was the timeline for them. If I had gotten another wishy-washy answer about when I could start work, I was going to give them the "Up Yours!" and move on to someone else.

Even if I ended up selling scoops and scoops of Ben n Jerry's ice-cream at a fantabulous location at the bottom of Tower Bridge, I would have been happier. Because the dough is so badly needed !! Not to mention the little scoops of cookie dough I could pinch between serving customers to satisfy my own cravings! Haha!

Go on...feast on the sights at http://www.benjerry.com/
You know you want it....:)

Not being greedy here, but just need the means to carry on living a fulfilling life.

My kind of fulfillment that is. :)

The 100 year-old man of my life

He is 100 years old. And he thinks about cooking me 2 hard boiled eggs for my birthday breakfast. And a roast duck for dinner that night. How sweet can one get?

He is my dear Grandpa.

:)

Child's play

Who ever said one cannot go to Sentosa and have a great day out even though it's raining cats and dogs??

Well, we did and we had a ball! I volunteered an early school holiday trip to Sentosa with my two young cousins, and I loved it!

We checked out the Underwater World and then once the rain stopped, we got outside.
Strolling along the beaches, we found the Chairlift and the Luge! But ask Jang Yuan , my 11 yr old cousin, how much time I spent convincing him to take the chairlift with us??!! A full hour of persuasion and support that he will not fall SPLAT on the ground below. Of course, I kept the rare possibilities to myself.

And we did go up, in the end, all 3 of us. For 2 rounds!! And he told me afterwards that he had "conquered his fear" ! What better reward for the day! Hahaha!

It turned out to be such a therapeautic day out for me. :)

Come get me!

Hi again...

Indeed the ozzies are well travelled. There is this dedicated website called www.gumtree.com that is SO SO good. I have spent 24hrs since i arrived in london trying to find apts through the local paper. And forgot previous travellers have already told me to try this website called GUMTREE.

Because on this site, there are rooms in apts for pple like us, who have no fixed plans but need a place to stay comfortably with internet access, and bills included and no fuss. And of course, safe and warm. And that page has places that suits ALL my needs.

So hopefully, I can find a good place soon. Even if it means moving every month, i wouldn't mind because i only have the one suitcase. And the rent suits my budget and the location is always good. PLUS, i get to meet loads of new people....so networking! Wow...hopefully i will meet so many people from around the world, i can go bunk in whenever we go travelling! And hear about all these interesting things that people do!

So far , quite a few people have thought I am from America....hmmm....they all say I have an American accent. Where did that come from?? Where's my Ozzie accent?? Or at least some Singlish present??? Hahaha.

Hee...anyway, I am feeling fine. And am looking forward to every day.

Patzy :)
